MATERIALS
FABRICS WITH CHARACTER. MADE IN PORTUGAL
A garment is only as good as the fabric it is made from. That is why we start there: with the fibre, the yarn, and the way it is knitted, dyed and finished.
we offer a wide range of materials, from organic and recycled cotton to custom blends, in every weight from fine, fluid jersey to dense, heavy fleece. Each fabric is chosen for how it feels in the hand, how it falls on the body and how it ages with wear.
Whatever you are creating, quality begins with the material. Below is everything we work with, from the first fibre to the final finish.
FIBRES
Our core material is organic cotton: soft, breathable and naturally comfortable against the skin. Around it, we work with a wider palette of fibres, from natural and cellulosic options such as linen, modal and lyocell to technical blends, selected to suit each garment.
For brands that want to go further, we offer recycled cotton in blends or, for selected fabrics, in up to 100% recycled compositions. Recycled fibre comes from cutting-room waste and post-consumer garments, mechanically reprocessed into new yarn. Custom blends and bespoke yarns can be developed to your brief, and elastane can be added for stretch and shape retention.
KNITTED FABRICS
Our fabrics are knitted in Portugal on modern circular machines, for a consistent surface and handfeel from roll to roll. Structure defines how a garment looks and behaves:
- Single jersey: smooth, light and fluid, the classic t-shirt fabric.
- Double jersey and interlock: denser and more stable, with the same clean face on both sides.
- French terry: smooth outside, soft looped reverse. The base of premium hoodies and sweatpants.
- Fleece: brushed or unbrushed, for warmth and a cosy inside.
- Piqué, double-face and pile knits: textured and structured surfaces with a distinct character.
- Rib: stretch and recovery for cuffs, hems and necklines, with or without elastane.
Selected woven fabrics are also available for mixed garments.
WEIGHT & HANDFEEL
We work from airy lightweight jersey to dense, ultra-heavy fleece. Weight is chosen per garment: a boxy tee needs body and drape, a hoodie needs substance and structure. Fibre, yarn and knit are matched to deliver that feel, so the number on paper is never the only measure of quality.
COLOUR & DYEING
Colour is developed in a dedicated dyehouse. Fabric is carefully pre-treated for an even, deep result, then dyed with eco-friendly dyes and water-efficient techniques.
- Garment dyeing: colour applied to the finished piece, for a soft, lived-in tone with natural depth.
- Washed effects: vintage and faded looks developed to your reference.
Custom colours are matched to your reference, with accuracy and consistency checked at every stage.
FINISHING
Finishing decides how a fabric feels on the first touch and after the hundredth wash.
- Softening for a smoother, more comfortable handfeel.
- Brushing to raise surface fibres for a warmer, softer texture.
- Anti-pilling to keep the surface clean with wear.
- Pre-shrinking for stable size and fit after washing.
- Antibacterial treatment for selected fabrics.
- Functional finishes such as water-repellent or anti-UV, on request.
For selected processes, bio-based and energy-saving options are available.
RECYCLING & TRACEABILITY
Fabric offcuts are valuable material. Where the project allows, they are collected, sorted by colour and quality, and returned to the cycle as recycled yarn and new fabric. Brands can also develop their own circular fabric from their own production waste.
Recycled content varies by fabric, so we always confirm the exact composition with you. Fibre content, origin and processes are documented for every material, and every fabric roll is inspected before it reaches the cutting table.
